Space Coast Florida

Space Coast Communities

Here are some of the local communities we service directly.

Along the Atlantic Coast, the Space Coast of Florida is best known for the Kennedy Space Center. The area is a great day trip, (35 miles away) for Orlando visitors who are looking for the closest beach as well. There’s plenty more to this stretch of the Sunshine State.

Merritt Island, FL

Merritt Island (Our Home!)

The unincorporated town of Merritt Island is located on Florida’s largest island, which serves as the home of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, still a major tourist attraction, even though space shuttles are no longer being launched from here.

You can enter the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, meet an astronaut, enjoy the automated thrills of the Shuttle Launch Experience and explore other interactive displays.

And, if you are fortunate, you will be in Merritt Island when an unmanned rocket blasts off from the space center or from the adjacent Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

Juxtaposed with all of this is the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, a 140,000-acre nature sanctuary.

Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach, along Florida’s Space Coast, makes for an out-of-this-world place to live. Your group can ride some waves, check out Cocoa Beach’s world-famous pier, marvel at Ron Jon’s, the world’s largest surf shop, hike through nature preserves, and explore mankind’s greatest journey at the nearby Kennedy Space Center. NASA’s launch headquarters is the only place on Earth where you can tour launch-pad areas, meet a veteran astronaut, see giant rockets, train in spaceflight simulators and – if your timing is just right – even view a launch. Don’t miss the historic Cocoa Village of Cocoa Beach, a revitalized, nostalgic riverside community with more than 50 shops, restaurants, galleries and artist studios. And remember this: Cocoa Beach is only an hour’s drive east of Orlando, making it a great day trip for theme park visitors.

Melbourne, Florida

Melbourne

Surf’s up in Melbourne.

Set beside the Indian River Lagoon along Florida’s Space Coast, Melbourne offers beaches, fishing, golf, snorkeling and many other outdoor activities.

You can bask in the sunshine on miles and miles of Melbourne’s unspoiled beaches by daylight or, at night, enjoy a romantic moonlit walk, complete with tropical breezes.

You’ll find all types of shopping and restaurants in Historic Downtown Melbourne and elsewhere in and near town.

Within an easy drive of the Kennedy Space Center, Melbourne also is the home of annual festivals such as the Independent Filmmaker’s FestivalArts Festival, Aviation Day and Oktoberfest.

Titusville, Florida

Titusville

One of the centerpieces of Florida’s Space Coast, Titusville is the only place on the planet where rockets launch, sea turtles nest and soothing sunrises give way to inviting surf. Titusville is a perfect, down-to-earth launching pad for tours of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. In Titusville, you will find accommodations for every budget, a full range of dining options, including plenty of opportunities to taste the local delicacy known as rock shrimp, a nostalgic downtown filled with quirky shops, and rich, unspoiled natural landscapes that beckon explorers of all ages.
